How to Select the Right Pallet Rack

• Frame Capacity: Calculate total pallet weight per bay (exclude floor pallets)
• Height: Include pallet + load + beam height + 4″ clearance; top beam must be at least 6″ below forklift max lift
• Depth: Pallets should overhang frame by 3″ front and back (e.g., 48″ pallet = 42″ deep frame)
• Width: Add at least 3″ side clearance and 4″ between pallets to determine beam length
• Overall Width: Add 6″ to beam length for starter unit total width
